WAESOL, the Washington state affiliate of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), is a professional, non-profit organization whose purposes are to:
  • Promote scholarship
  • Disseminate information related to ESOL
  • Strengthen instruction, teacher training, and research in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages

Student input into organizational choices is crucial to develop responsive adult education programs. We share ways student feedback drives our organizational decisions and walk attendees through our process for student-facilitated focus groups in many languages. Wel also explore other areas of student feedback and hear participants’ experience.
